Sachin Tendulkar the record-breaking batsman, who does not play in Twenty20 internationals said MS Dhoni's team were the world's best in the most explosive form of the game and believes India will retain the Twenty20 World Cup next month. India is the most balanced side in the world and there is no doubt we can defend the title.

Sachin Tendulkar’s Charity work

Sachin Tendulkar who is already looking after welfare of 200 children from the same NGO called Apnalaya, said he always looked up to his father in trying to understand his social responsibilities.

I was always inspired from my father on social responsibilities,Sachin said on Wednesday said he will sponsor the education of 200 children, who are part of a Non-Governmental Organization.

There is no better source of inspiration for me than my father. Growing up as a child, I saw my father, a professor, pay for the education of our Newspaper person, who could not afford it. This is in a family where every penny mattered.

Whoever turned up at our house, be it the watchman or the postman, would not be allowed to leave without having a cup of tea, which my father served,all these incidents taught me all about caring for others.I have learnt from my father and I'm proud of it.

I'm trying to double my givings and contributing in whatever way I can. I will pay for the education of 200 children as a part of the 'Joy of Giving Week' campaign," he said in support of the programme conceptualised by another NGO, GiveIndia, to promote charity.

Master meets his boyhood hero at Wimbledon 2009

Our master, Sachin Tendulkar was a guest in the Royal Box yesterday at Wimbledon 2009 , London.

No doubt he would have appreciated and enjoyed the high voltage drama of the men’s final between Roger federer and Andy roddick, but Sachin Tendulkar may have also been starstruck before the match began. His boyhood hero was legendary star John McEnroe, and ‘Supermac’ was out on court before the players arrived, teeing up the match for the BBC television audience.

As a youngster, Tendulkar would copy McEnroe’s style, wearing wristbands and headbands, and played plenty of tennis until cricket began to dominate his life in the mid-1980s.

Daniel Radcliffe - Harry Potter star took Tendulkar's autograph at Lord's on his 18th birthday in 2007. But so engrossed was Sachin in obliging his fans that he didn't even notice signing up for Daniel.

"I first met him when we were touring England in 2007. After the Lord's Test, we drove down to Nottingham for the second Test and it was there that I got a call from my wife, Anjali, who asked me about my meeting with Harry Potter. I said, no, I haven't met him. But she insisted I did because the statement had come from Daniel himself that he got his best birthday present. As it turned out, just before the day's play at Lord's, I was obliging fans on my way back to the dressing room. And when you sign autographs you aren't always looking up at the person. So I missed the opportunity to meet him and say hello to him then. However, this time around I met him at Lord's during the T20 World Cup and I got a chance to say hello to him."

Swapnil Asnodkar who plays for Rajasthan Royals IPL team has said in a recent interview that Little master Sachin tendulkar is his idol.

I have not been lucky enough to spend much time with that great man. But I'm really looking forward to an opportunity to spend some wonderful time with him and I know a good conversation with the legendary batsman will inspire me more.

So one shouldn’t write off our master blaster now.

Because Sachin has single-handedly carried his team across the finish line many times. Anyone who has watched him during the Sharjah Cup in ’98, knows that he can really perform miracles in cricket.

Sachin is all set to start new innings with his cricket bat. Sachin would be seen with a bat with different logo. No more MRF.

The news is that Sachin will bat with Adidas logo, as sachin tendulkar has been brand ambassador for Adidas products and now that Adidas has entered the sports market in bat segment and would be manufacturing bat along with Gloves, Pad and other cricket accessories.

I am just waiting for triangular series to start where Sachin will be seen with an Adidas bat.
